These Terms of Service govern your use of the CompanyCast video streaming platform. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these terms.

2. Service Description
CompanyCast provides a live streaming platform that enables organizations to broadcast live video streams, record webcasts, and manage video archives. The platform includes features for tagging people and organizations, managing chapters, and providing accessibility features for viewers.
3. Account Registration
To use CompanyCast services, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
- Ensuring your account information remains accurate and up to date
4. Data Processing and Your Responsibilities
When you use CompanyCast to tag people in webcasts or store information about individuals, you act as the data controller and CompanyCast acts as the data processor under applicable data protection laws (including GDPR).
Your Responsibilities as Data Controller
You are responsible for:
- Ensuring you have a legal basis to process personal data of individuals you tag or register in the system
- Complying with applicable data protection laws and regulations
- Obtaining necessary consents from individuals whose data you process
- Responding to data subject rights requests from individuals whose data you control
- Maintaining a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with CompanyCast
CompanyCast as Data Processor
CompanyCast processes personal data on your behalf according to the Data Processing Agreement. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the security of your data.
5. User Data and Account Information
Information We Collect
We collect and store:
- Account information (name, email, organization details)
- User preferences and settings
- Content you upload (videos, metadata, tags, descriptions)
- Information about people and organizations you tag in webcasts
- Technical logs necessary for service operation
No Unnecessary Tracking
We do not track your activity beyond what is necessary to provide the service. We do not use third-party analytics services for marketing purposes or sell your data to third parties.
Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time. Deleting your account will permanently remove your personal account information from our systems. However, content uploaded to your organization (videos, webcasts, metadata) belongs to the organization and will remain accessible to other users in the same organization. Only deleting the organization account will remove this content. Account deletion is subject to any legal retention requirements and cannot be undone.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Upload or stream content that violates applicable laws or third-party rights
- Use the service to transmit malware, spam, or harmful code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or other user accounts
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the service
- Use the service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it
- Violate the privacy or data protection rights of individuals
7. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high service availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. The service is provided "as is" and we reserve the right to:
- Perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice when possible
- Make updates and improvements to the service
- Suspend or terminate service for violations of these terms
8. Intellectual Property
You retain all rights to content you upload to CompanyCast. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and deliver your content as necessary to provide the service.
The CompanyCast platform, including its software, design, and documentation, is protected by intellectual property rights and remains the property of CompanyCasts AS.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CompanyCasts AS shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the service if:
- You violate these Terms of Service
- Your use of the service poses a security risk
- You fail to pay applicable fees (if any)
- Required by law
Upon termination, your right to use the service will immediately cease. You may request deletion of your data by contacting us.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the service. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
The "Last updated" date at the top indicates when these terms were last revised.
12. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by Norwegian law. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Norway.
